Climate Anxiety
Responding to the mental health challenges of working in climate
Living and working in Hobart has introduced me to the vibrant community of scientists, researchers and environmentalists who are based here. I’ve also come to know the heavy emotional toll they experience as their work constantly confirms the validity of their concerns for the planet. Their research is critical, their findings often bleak, and the reception is frequently hostile.
Yet there is arguably no work more important right now.
Most therapeutic treatments for anxiety rely on the threat not being real. So, what happens when the anxiety is validated by one's own research, when worst fears are confirmed by peer reviewed findings?
Responding specifically to the mental health challenges of those working in climate, I've developed a range of services under the theme "How to live a good life, knowing what we know".

This is an outline of the services I am currently providing. The mental health impacts of working in climate are constantly evolving and I'm always willing to provide additional services to respond to emerging needs.
